What is Juli Ransomware?
Juli is a ransomware belonging to the VoidCrypt family, which was discovered while inspecting malware samples submitted to VirusTotal. This particular variant of ransomware encrypts files, appends the victim's ID, juli1990@mailfence.com email address, and a .Juli extension to the filenames, and drops an unlock-info.txt ransom note.
The ransom note instructs victims to contact either the juli1990@mailfence.com or juli1992@mailfence.com email addresses for help in restoring their files and warns that attempting to restore them with third-party software may cause permanent damage. The attackers offer a free decryption tool in exchange for one file not larger than 1 MB in size and value to the victim.
The Juli Ransomware note reads as follows:
All your files have been encrypted!

Write this ID in the title of your message : -
In case of no answer in 24 hours write us to theese e-mails: Juli1992@mailfence.com

Ransomware like Juli can be spread through phishing emails, malicious websites, fake software updates, Trojan horses, and peer-to-peer networks. It is vital to eliminate ransomware as soon as possible because it can cause further damage by encrypting more files on the infected device and possibly spreading to other devices via the local network. Using an antimalware tool will suffice in automatically removing Juli Ransomware.
