¿Qué es Juli Ransomware?

Juli es un ransomware que pertenece a la familia VoidCrypt, que se descubrió al inspeccionar muestras de malware enviadas a VirusTotal. Esta variante particular de ransomware encripta archivos, agrega la ID de la víctima, la dirección de correo electrónico juli1990@mailfence.com y una extensión .Juli a los nombres de archivo, y suelta una nota de rescate unlock-info.txt.

La nota de rescate indica a las víctimas que se comuniquen con las direcciones de correo electrónico juli1990@mailfence.com o juli1992@mailfence.com para obtener ayuda para restaurar sus archivos y advierte que intentar restaurarlos con software de terceros puede causar daños permanentes. Los atacantes ofrecen una herramienta de descifrado gratuita a cambio de un archivo de no más de 1 MB de tamaño y valor para la víctima.
