Juli é um ransomware pertencente à família VoidCrypt, que foi descoberto durante a inspeção de amostras de malware enviadas ao VirusTotal. Essa variante específica de ransomware criptografa arquivos, anexa o ID da vítima, o endereço de e-mail juli1990@mailfence.com e uma extensão .Juli aos nomes dos arquivos, além de enviar uma nota de resgate unlock-info.txt.

A nota de resgate instrui as vítimas a entrar em contato com os endereços de e-mail juli1990@mailfence.com ou juli1992@mailfence.com para obter ajuda na restauração de seus arquivos e avisa que tentar restaurá-los com software de terceiros pode causar danos permanentes. Os invasores oferecem uma ferramenta de descriptografia gratuita em troca de um arquivo não maior que 1 MB de tamanho e valor para a vítima.
