Remove Sorryitsjustbusiness Ransomware
Sorryitsjustbusiness Ransomware is a threat whose attack looks devastating, but it might actually turn out to be one of the less dangerous file-encryption Trojans. Of course, this does not mean that you should underestimate it. Remember that preventing ransomware attacks is always much easier than recovering from them. That being said, recovering from the Sorryitsjustbusiness Ransomware might not be that big of a challenge. This is because it is based on a project known as HiddenTear. This is an open-source file-locker that uses a flawed file-locking mechanism – but it has still been used to craft hundreds of different file-lockers like the one we are discussing.
When the Sorryitsjustbusiness Ransomware attacks a system, it will apply a random 4-character extension to the files it locks. It will then drop the ransom note 'read_it.txt' on the desktop. Surprisingly, it does not attempt to delete Shadow Volume Copies and System Restore Points in order to further damage the victim's machine.
The criminals may already be aware how flawed their file-locker is, because they have included outrageous ransom demands - $150,000. They also provide an email for contact – sorryitsjustbusiness@protonmail.com.
If the Sorryitsjustbusiness Ransomware damages your files, you should run an antivirus tool to eliminate the malware. Then, try using the free HiddenTear decryptor to decipher your data.
