Nicewinner.net Pushes Ads Using Fake Video
Nicewinner dot net is a very simplistic misleading website. There are no bells and whistles here, the page displayed is very plain and basic, but it serves its purpose - to get ads in your browser.
If you land on Nicewinner dot net, usually after you clicked a rogue ad on a different site or inside a pop-up window, you will be greeted by a blank, black page with a fake video player "Play" button on it. There is no video here, just the promise of one, to coax people into accepting ads on their system. Of course, Nicewinner dot net wouldn't be a misleading site if it told visitors it will send ads in their browsers.
Instead, the page has large text that says "Click Allow to watch the video". Of course, there is no video, and clicking "allow" will only permit Nicewinner dot net to spam your browser with annoying and potentially harmful ads.
Misleading sites like this one often work with rogue ad networks. This means that the ads delivered to your browser may refer you to scam pages, other misleading sites or questionable content.
All of this can be avoided very easily - simply close your browser tab immediately when a random page online asks you to click any buttons or links on it.
