MNX ランサムウェアは、ランサムウェア亜種の Phobos ファミリーを拡張する新しいクローンです。

MNX は、他の最近の Phobos クローンとほぼ同じように動作します。接続されたシステム ドライブ上のファイルを暗号化し、身代金を要求します。

MNX ランサムウェアは、ユーザーの ID 文字列、ハッカーが使用する電子メール、および「.MNX」文字列で構成される長い新しい拡張子を追加するため、暗号化されたファイルは名前が変更されます。 「image.jpg」というファイルは、「image.jpg.id[被害者 ID].[decrypt@techie.com].MNX」になります。

感染したシステムで暗号化されるファイルの種類には、通常のドキュメント、メディア ファイル、アーカイブ、およびデータベースが含まれます。

ランサムウェアがシステムの暗号化を完了すると、「info.txt」と「info.hta」という名前の 2 つのファイル内に身代金要求をドロップします。 HTA ファイルがポップアップ ウィンドウに表示され、次のような詳細な身代金メモが含まれています。
