Beware of the Webmail Center Scam
There is a new scam being distributed around the web through malicious spam email campaigns. This particular campaign relies on one of the oldest tricks in the handbook of every scammer - fake mail issues used to phish out victim credentials.
What is notable about this particular scam is that it is written in particularly bad English. A lot of scams are put together by non-native English speakers and commonly have grammar and syntax issues. However, in this case, the text of the scam is laughably bad, to the point where it would be a small miracle if anyone falls for something so obviously fake.
The text of the scam email goes as follows:
New messages has been trapped on your email traffer account feature, this is been caused by our recent system upgrade, You'll need to login with your valid password to rectify your account, after 3 failed attempts your account [victim's email] will be blocked.

Clicking the link contained in the email will take victims to a phishing portal, styled to look like a web login page. Entering your credentials into the fake login form will feed them directly to the scam operator and your email will likely be taken over by the bad actors. From this point on, impersonation, fraud and other fowl play are incredibly easy to pull off.
Be aware of everything you read and click in your inbox and be careful with any page that asks you to disclose any personal information.
