Zate Ransomware — еще один клон Djvu

Программа-вымогатель Zate — это новый вариант программы-вымогателя, расширяющий и без того большое семейство клонов Djvu.

Новый вариант Djvu шифрует файлы и ведет себя так же, как и его собратья. Программа-вымогатель Zate будет шифровать базы данных, файлы документов, архивы и медиафайлы в целевой системе. Исполняемые файлы также будут зашифрованы.

После шифрования файлы получают расширение «.zate». Это превратит файл с именем «notes.txt» в «notes.txt.zate».

Требования о выкупе хранятся в текстовом файле с именем «_readme.txt». В записке запрашивается выкуп в размере 490 долларов, при этом выкуп увеличивается до 980 долларов, если он не будет выплачен в течение 72 часов. Полная заметка выглядит следующим образом:
