Remove Rigj Ransomware
The Rigj Ransomware is a piece of malware that belongs to the STOP/Djvu family. These file-lockers execute extremely dangerous attacks, which could leave the majority of your files in an encrypted state. Undoing this encryption is not possible via free tools. The only decryptor is likely to be owned by the creators of the Rigj Ransomware. However, they are not sharing it with anyone for free. According to the ransom message they deliver, victims need to pay for the decryptor.
You are likely to get infected with the Rigj Ransomware if you interact with downloads from shady sources, random email attachments, or pirated content. In addition to avowing these types of content, we also suggest that you automate your system's defenses with the use of an up-to-date antivirus application.
How Does the Rigj Ransomware Attack Look Like?
Once this ransomware is launched, it starts encrypting files via a background process. All files it locks are renamed by adding the suffix '.rigj.' The final changes it introduces are deleting Shadow Volume Copies, and then dropping the '_readme.txt' ransom message. According to the attacker's document, victims need to pay $490 via Bitcoin for the decryptor. They also offer to unlock one file for free, and ask victims to send it to manager@mailtemp.ch or helprestoremanager@airmail.cc.
