Realsrv.com Pop-Ups

computer pop-ups

Realsrv.com is a domain associated with a browser hijacker that will display intrusive and potentially harmful ads in your browser.

The page that will install the hijacker on your system is usually "syndication dot realsrv dot com". Landing on this page, you will be faced with what looks like a web video player. There is no video or other meaningful content on the page.

Along with this image, you will be shown the browser's default "allow notifications" dialog box. Impatient users will click "allow" simply to get access to the video that isn't there. Doing this will only give the page permission to spam your browser with unsolicited and potentially dangerous ads, sent using push notification functionality.

Misleading pages like this often work in conjunction with rogue ad networks. This means that ads displayed through them may lead to other misleading pages, scam websites and questionable content or potentially unwanted program installers.

Remember that you should never click any buttons or links on unfamiliar pages that cropped up in your browser after you clicked another stray link. Simply close the browser tab and go on with your day.
