The Qmak Ransomware belongs to the STOP/Djvu family of file-encryption Trojans. This malware is meant to cause long-lasting damage to your files and, unfortunately, there is no free way to reverse it. The threat locks files of various formats – documents, images, archives, and more. When it locks a file, the ransomware tags its name with the suffix '.qmak.' The malware finally ends the attack with the creation of the ransom note '_readme.txt' on the desktop.

You should never agree to co-operate with ransomware operators or other cybercriminals – they are not trustworthy, and you will probably get scammed if you decide to trust them. Needless to say, paying money is not an option, and you should look for an alternative solution. Start the road to recovery by removing the Qmak Ransomware with the use of an anti-malware scanner.
