Remove Publicconfirm.com Notifications and Pop-Ups

Publicconfirm.com is a website, which promotes fake notifications and pop-ups in order to hijack your browser notifications. Users may see this site's contents while browsing low-quality pages used to distribute pirated content such as media and games. When the Publicconfirm.com show up in your browser, you may be told to click the 'Allow' button on your screen. The page, however, does not reveal the true purpose of the button. Instead, it says that this must be done in order to:

  • Enable video playback.
  • Pass an anti-robot check.
  • Unlock additional content.

However, Publicconfirm.com's promises are fake. Clicking 'Allow' will only subscribe you to this site's notifications. It will not use it to promote legitimate content and, instead, it will abuse it to bring ads, scams, and other fraudulent links to your attention. Needless to say, you should not click on the links you find in the Publicconfirm.com notifications – nothing good can come out of this.

If you notice any of the changes above, then it is certain that your browser notifications were hijacked. Thankfully, there is an easy fix to this – you just need to know How to Stop Annoying Notifications in Web Browsers.
