How to Stay Safe from Primerewardz.com Pop-Ups

Primerewardz dot com is a misleading website set up with the sole purpose of coaxing users into accepting push notifications from it.

When a visitor lands on Primerewardz dot com, they are met with a large text message that reads "Can't play this video! Browser may block video autoplay.. Click 'Allow' to play the video."

All of this is a fraud - there is no video on the website and the purpose of the message is to simply trick the user into accepting push notifications through the browser's pop-up dialog box. Clicking 'Allow' in that box will simply lead to a stream of annoying ads and pop-ups being displayed in the browser.

A part of those ads may be sourced from rogue advertising networks and can redirect to unsafe pages, other misleading websites and other questionable content. That is why it is a very bad idea to allow notifications from similar sites.

To stay safe from similar misleading pages, never interact with elements on suspicious pages that ask you to allow notifications, as this is always an attempt to plant annoying ads inside your browser.
