Ijony.click Pushes Fake Virus Scares

Ijony dot click is a misleading website with a randomly generated name that will attempt to scare the user with fake warning messages.

Sites like Ijony belong to what we broadly term the "fake virus warning" subcategory of misleading pages. This type of site will show the visitor images that are made to look like the interface windows of real antivirus applications.

The boxes will always have some sort of scary warning in them, whether this is "five viruses found on your system" or a warning that you "visited unsafe site with illegal content". Bad grammar should be the first thing you should notice.

The other thing you should notice is the fake images trying to pose as app interface windows. All the messages you will see in them will always be fake. No online page can get this sort of information about your computer.

Remember that those pages are only trying to frighten you and push ads inside your browser through push notifications. Never interact with any elements, buttons or links on a website that tells you that your system is infected or in danger, as all of those pages will always be misleading and the warnings on them fake.
