How to Avoid Devicespam-shield.com Pop-Ups
Devicespam-shield dot com is a misleading website. The page that displays when a visitor lands on the site only contains a number of misleading text messages to coax the user into allowing push notifications in the browser.
The website will trigger the browser's default "allow notifications" dialog box. To urge visitors to click "allow", the site displays what looks like an overlay message reading "Click 'Allow' to continue'. This creates the illusion that there is some sort of meaningful content to be viewed on the page.
However, the sole purpose of the page is to get the user to click "allow". This will simply allow the page at Devicespam-shield dot com to display an annoying torrent of ads and pop-ups in the victim's browser. A big portion of those ads can be sourced from rogue advertising networks. This means that such ads will lead to questionable pages, adult content, or malware-laced sites.
There is nothing to be gained from clicking "allow" on similar pages. Their only purpose is to deliver the rogue ad network content to as many users as possible, generating revenue for the site owners in the process and potentially exposing the user to dangerous pages through rogue ads.
