'LUNA Giveaway' Scam Tempts Victims with False Promises

Crypto has been the buzzword of the past few years and is still going strong in the current one. Naturally, scammers are trying their best to capitalize on it too and are launching a new crypto-oriented scam every other week.

The "LUNA giveaway" scam is one of those rather transparent scams too. The criminals operating the scam have set up pages using different domains, all using the same scam setup.

The pages will promise visitors a two-fold return of any amount of cryptocurrency they send through the sites. In some cases, the page will use Bitcoin, other times it would ask for transfers of LUNA or Terra coin.

The same basic setup was used in a number of other crypto-focused scams in the past. The crooks would promise victims that any amount of the chosen crypto they send over would come back to them doubled - a pretty obvious attempt to scam people, but one that seems to still work surprisingly well.

Obviously, you won't be getting any of your crypto back and would just be gifting some to the criminals running the scam and the pages associated with it.
