Trust-core.xyz Uses Fake Adult Content to Push Ads

Eight Pornographic Websites Hacked

Trust-core dot xyz is a misleading website that is set up with a singular purpose - to get intrusive and potentially harmful ads in the browsers of as many visitors as possible.

The website is designed to vaguely resemble an adult video website, with a single still image made to look like the frame of a streaming video player. There is no content on Trust-core dot xyz, adult or otherwise, the image is simply bait to get users to click.

Along with displaying the fake adult video, the page brings up the browser's default "allow notifications" dialog box, urging the user to click "allow" to get access to the fake adult video.

Clicking "allow" in this dialog box will only give Trust-core dot xyz permission to flood your browser with unsolicited ads. A lot of them may be sourced through a rogue ad network, which means those ads can link to potentially unwanted software, other misleading pages or questionable content.

Avoiding all of this is very easy - when a random page you land on, usually by following a stray link on a different page, asks you to click "allow" for any reason, simply close the browser tab or your entire browser and don't click anything on the page.
