Remove Zeznzo Ransomware

Ransomware attacks almost always have devastating consequences. Even if you manage to remove the malware's files successfully, you would still be unable to access your encrypted files. The Zeznzo Ransomware is one of the latest threats of this type, and its authors are already distributing it actively. They are trying to deliver the malware to potential victims through fake downloads, pirated content, and misleading emails. The latter method appears to be the most popular one, so beware of random email attachments and links from an unknown sender.

The Zeznzo Ransomware works on Windows computers exclusively, which is very common for 'average' file-encryption Trojans. The best way to keep your system safe is to be more careful when browsing the Web, as well as to invest in additional security software and measures. Failure to stop the Zeznzo Ransomware attack is likely to prevent you from accessing your important documents, images, and other files.

What Does the Zeznzo Ransomware Attack Look Like?

Victims of this particular ransomware are likely to notice several changes. For starters, the threat replaces the desktop wallpaper with a red background that includes a ransom message from the attackers. It urges victims to contact cryptonation92@outlook.com for assistance, and is signed by 'Zeznzo' – hence the name of the malware.

Zeznzo Ransomware Ransom Note

All files that the threat locks will have the string '.cryptonation92@outlook.com' added to their original extension. Finally, the 'README.txt' document should also be available on the desktop. The criminals warn their victims that they have only 10 hours to purchase a decryption key. Failure to pay on time will result in the permanent deletion of the decryption key. It is not yet clear whether this is a bluff or not. Still, we do not recommend paying the ransom fee.

Co-operating with Zeznzo Ransomware's creators is a bad idea, because they offer no proof that they are trustworthy. They do not show a working decryptor, nor are their testimonies from victims who got their files back. It is likely that users who pay the fee will have their money stolen. Victims of the Zeznzo Ransomware should run an antivirus tool to eliminate the threat, and then use popular data recovery software and methods.
