WARLOCK DARK ARMY ransomware is the latest clone of the Chaos ransomware family that was spotted in the wild.

WARLOCK DARK ARMY will encrypt the majority of files found on the victim system, rendering them useless. Once encrypted, files will receive a new extension containing an expletive. The encryption process will transform a file named "image.png" into "image.png.f**ckcrypt".

The ransomware will scramble most media, document, archive, database and executable file types.

Once it finishes encrypting the system, the ransomware drops its ransom demands inside a file named "read_it.txt" and places the file on the desktop. The full ransom note goes as follows:
