Remove Tuid Ransomware

ransomware

Tuid Ransomware is a piece of malware whose attack can be very destructive if you do not manage to stop it successfully. Thankfully, there is an easy way to make sure that this malware never gets to your system – simply use an up-to-date anti-malware tool at all times. Of course, you should also try better to avoid interacting with dangerous sites and services. Never interact with pirated games and software either, as they may often carry malicious files like the Tuid Ransomware.

This threat has been identified as an updated variant of the STOP/Djvu Ransomware family. Sadly, this means that it is impossible to decipher its encryption. Victims will most likely need to explore other data recovery options, which might not always yield satisfying results. The only surefire way to negate the Tuid Ransomware's damage is to restore the files from a recent backup. The Tuid Ransomware marks files it locks with the '.tuid' suffix, and then drops the '_readme.txt' ransom note. The latter document contains a bit of information about the attack, and instructions for the victim. The criminals demand a ransom payment of $490, and they promise to provide a decryptor to all victims who agree to pay. We would not advise you to trust the hackers, as it is highly unlikely that they will assist. Instead, terminate the Tuid Ransomware with the use of antivirus software, and then explore alternative data recovery options.
