Totalniceposts.com Lures Visitors With Fake Content

adware ads popups block

We came across the misleading website Totalniceposts.com during a regular checkup of suspicious sites. This site engages in promoting browser notification spam and redirecting users to other websites, which are likely to be unreliable or hazardous. Most visitors access these pages through redirects initiated by sites employing rogue advertising networks.

It's important to note that the actions of rogue websites, including the content they host or endorse, may vary depending on the visitors' IP addresses and location.

During our research, Totalniceposts.com displayed a loading bar with a stuttering progress. Below this, the instructions read, "Click the Allow button to subscribe to push notifications and continue watching," implying that allowing notification delivery is essential to resume watching online content. It should be noted that there is no legitimate content on Totalniceposts.com or on similar misleading pages. They exist solely to promote browser notification spam.

Upon clicking the "Allow" button, it led to a redirect to a deceptive page commonly used to promote adware, browser hijackers, potentially unwanted applications (PUAs), and other harmful software.

Rogue websites leverage browser notifications for intrusive advertising campaigns. These ads primarily endorse online scams, untrustworthy or dangerous software, and even malware.
