SharedEnumerator Mac Adware Bombards With Unwanted Ads

SharedEnumerator is the name of a piece of Mac adware, also called ad-supported software. SharedEnumerator belongs to the group of AdLoad adware clones - a group that numbers hundreds of entries that are all the same ad-supported app, only distributed under different names.
Visually, the application resembles all other AdLoad clones - it comes with a purposefully bland icon so that it can better blend among your remaining apps.
The only purpose of SharedEnumerator and other AdLoad variants is only to deliver ads to your Mac, usually inside your browser. The problem with this behavior is that a lot of the time the ads delivered by the adware apps are sourced using rogue advertising networks and can refer to pages and files that can be potentially harmful.
Rogue ads may link to pages containing questionable content, scams and phishing portals, misleading sites and potentially unwanted applications. This behavior makes it clear why you don't want to have any sort of adware app on your system, whether this is about SharedEnumerator or any other adware app.
Removal is relatively easy as SharedEnumerator doesn't have any strong persistence mechanisms. Just drag its icon onto your Trash and empty your Trash afterward.
