How to Avoid Poweaniart.com Ads

Poweaniart dot com is a very uninspired misleading page. The site will attempt to fool visitors that they are passing an anti-bot check.

What is really happening is that the page at Poweaniart dot com will bring up the "allow push notifications" dialog box of your browser of choice. This is accompanied by loading the site's blank home page that has an image of a robot on it and large text that tells the visitor to "click allow if you are not a robot".

This is not a valid or legitimate anti-bot check. You are asked to click the "allow" button in your browser's interface instead, and allow the misleading page at Poweaniart dot com to send ads into your browser.

The reason you really do not want this is that misleading pages of this kind often work together with rogue ad networks. This means the ads that the page will send you through push notifications may link to unsafe locations, malicious or misleading pages, scam or phishing portals and potentially unwanted program installers.

Next time you run into one of the hundreds of similar misleading pages, close it and move on with your day.
