Remove NTAppHelper
NTAppHelper is a deceptive Mac application that often installs its files without the user's knowledge. Typically, users notice it when it displays a prompt asking them to give it extended permissions. The scary part is that the permissions that NTAppHelper asks for are not typical – it would like to receive keystrokes from any application. Needless to say, you should not allow an unknown application to log your keystrokes since it is very likely that you are dealing with a keylogger.
Keep in mind that not all software that wants to access keystrokes is threatening – many legitimate applications that offer accessibility services, need such permissions to work. However, NTAppHelper is not one of them. This software should not be considered to be a safe application. If you see the aforementioned alert, you should make sure to deny NTAppHelper's request.
Of course, this is only a temporary solution. After you have denied NTAppHelper's permissions, you need to find a way to remove this software and all files linked to it. Doing this manually might be impossible, so we would advise you to run a reputable anti-malware software suite for Macs. Also, consider keeping your system protected by such software at all times, since this can prevent potentially harmful applications like NTAppHelper from reaching your Mac in the first place.
