Remove Merlen Ransomware
Merlen Ransomware is a dangerous piece of malware, which could cause permanent damage to your data. The goal of its creators is to extort their victims for money. Typically, they offer to provide victims with a decryptor, but only if they accept to pay some Bitcoin. All files that the Merlen Ransomware locks undergo a complete name change. The malware encodes their name, and then applies the extension '.[Merlen@Keemail.Me.'
Of course, just like other ransomware, this one also ends with the creation of a ransom note. The criminals use the document 'Read Me. TXT' to shed some light on the attack. Their message states that victims need to message merlens@protonmail.com, merlen@dr.com, or merlen@keemail.me for assistance. They do not mention the exact amount of money they expect to receive. However, they do state that they only accept Bitcoin payments.

The criminals also offer to unlock 2-3 files free of charge – victims are told to send them for decryption via email. We advise you to accept this offer in order to get a few files back. However, it is unlikely that you will get a free decryption tool if you pay – many ransomware operators scam their victims.
If your computer is infected by the Merlen Ransomware, you should use an anti-malware tool to eliminate the threat, and prevent it from causing more trouble. Of course, this will not undo the damage done to your files. You will need to try to undo this by using a suitable anti-malware application.
