Beware of LegionSuites Adware
LegionSuites is the name of a piece of adware that is a member of the AdLoad family. AdLoad is a group of adware or ad-supported app clones that works on Mac computers.
LegionSuites can deliver ads into your browser. In fact, this is its only purpose. This is typical behavior for all adware, but there is one major problem with this sort of ads.
Ad-supported software or adware often works in conjunction with rogue advertising networks.
Ads that come from rogue ad networks may link to potentially dangerous pages and files. Clicks on rogue ads can send you to malicious pages, misleading websites and other questionable content, as well as online scams.
LegionSuites, like every AdLoad clone we've seen in recent months, uses a generic icon that was tailor-made to help it stay hidden among your other legitimate applications - a simple grey circle with a white looking glass symbol inside it. Removal of AdLoad clones is easy, as the adware doesn't have any persistence mechanisms. Simply drag it onto the Trash and then empty your Trash to remove it.
