LegendDeploy is a piece of software for Mac computers that exhibits behaviors typical of ad-supported apps, also known as adware.
LegendDeploy can be found in your Applications folder on your Mac. It offers no useful features and its main purpose is to deliver ads to your Mac's browser.
LegendDeploy and hundreds of similar apps with similar nonsensical names all belong to the huge family of adware clones collectively known as AdLoad.
The issue with this sort of app is that those ads can often be sourced from rogue advertising networks. This means that the ads may refer to potentially unwanted apps, malicious or untrustworthy websites, questionable content, and scam or phishing pages.
This is clearly not something you want on your computer and it is always advisable to uninstall adware when you spot it on your Mac or PC. Apps like LegendDeploy usually have next to no persistence mechanisms and can be uninstalled just like every other app on your Mac, by dragging them to the Trash and then emptying it.
