Our research team came across LaunchImprovment during the evaluation of new file submissions on the VirusTotal platform. Identified as part of the AdLoad malware family, this application engages in intrusive advertising campaigns, leading to its classification as adware.
Adware, short for advertising-supported software, is designed to inundate users with unwanted and deceptive advertisements visible on visited websites or other interfaces.
It's essential to note that certain conditions may be required for LaunchImprovment to initiate intrusive advertising campaigns, such as a compatible browser/system or visits to specific sites. Even in the absence of displayed advertisements, the presence of LaunchImprovment poses a threat.
