Beware! Laddleoser Browser Hijacker Attempts to Modify Internet Settings
Laddleoser is a browser hijacker and a piece of potentially unwanted software. Potentially unwanted software is a nebulous area, full of software that is neither legitimate apps, nor full-blown malware, but something in-between.
Like most browser hijackers, Laddleoser will make a number of setting tweaks to your browser, all without asking for explicit consent. Those include changing your homepage to its own, changing your browser's default search engine used when you type something in the address bar, and the content of blank new tabs you open.
Additionally, Laddleoser can inject ads into pages you browse, which is functionality typical for ad-supported software or adware. Finally, the hijacker can log your browsing history and search queries - information that should not be stored.
All of those things make browser hijackers potentially unwanted apps and something you don't want to have on your system. Most browser hijackers are relatively easy to uninstall and don't have strong persistence mechanisms.
