InputView Adware on Mac Can Be Seriously Annoying
InputView is the meaningless name of an ad-supported application for Mac.
InputView belongs to the big family of AdLoad adware clones and variants. You may find its icon in your Applications folder - a bland circle with a magnifying glass icon in it - the same icon used by hundreds of other AdLoad variants distributed under different names.
InputView is on your system with a single purpose - to deliver ads into your browser. The problem with this is not so much the presence of the ads themselves. The real trouble here is that adware apps may partner up with rogue ad networks. This means that the ads delivered in your browser may be sourced through those rogue ad networks.
This type of rogue ad may refer you to untrustworthy or malicious pages, scam or phishing websites, potentially unwanted application installers, misleading websites, or fake giveaways and surveys.
This should make it very clear why you don't want to keep adware on your Mac, whether it is InputView or any other ad-supported application.
Removing Mac adware is usually easy and boils down to dropping the adware's icon from your Applications folder onto your Trash.
