MinimalEnergy Mac Adware

MinimalEnergy is an ad-supported application, also known as adware. It belongs to the family of adware clones known as AdLoad and can show up on your Mac computer.

Ad-supported software delivers ads to the targeted system, making money for the adware operator or maker in the process. MinimalEnergy is no different in this regard. It will not bring any meaningful or useful functionality to your Mac apart from delivering ads.

The big issue with this is not even the presence of those ads, it's their origin. A lot of the time, ads displayed by adware apps such as MinimalEnergy may be sourced through what is called a rogue ad network. This means that those ads may link to potentially unwanted apps, questionable online content, scam or phishing pages as well as misleading websites.
