The Hhye Ransomware can lock almost all media files stored on the computer while generating ransom notes that will try to extort its victims. However, users with skilled anti-malware programs can remove the Hhye Ransomware safely and then recover their files from a backup if available.
The STOP/Djvu Ransomware is one of the most prolific Ransomware-as-a-Service families. The Hhye Ransomware adds the first four letters of its name, '.hhye' to the files it locks, which makes them easily identifiable. The Hhye Ransomware's ransom note is delivered as a text file identical to the ones displayed by its family members, which, in this case, is named '_readme.txt.' It asks for $980, or half of that if the victims pay within 72 hours. It also provides two email addresses for negotiating, support@bestyourmail.ch and supportsys@airmail.cc. However, paying a ransom is not a wise decision because criminals have no scruples and can just take the money and give nothing in return.
