Remove Bl Ransomware
The Bl Ransomware belongs to the Dharma family of file-encryption Trojans. It showed up online only recent but, unfortunately, it has already managed to cause massive trouble for the victims who had the misfortune to cross paths with it. The goal of the Bl Ransomware, and other Dharma variants, is to encrypt as many of the victim's important files as possible. Undoing this encryption is a tough task unless you have the decryption key that the Bl Ransomware generates and sends to the server of the attackers.
After completing its attack, the Bl Ransomware will append the '.id-<VICTIM ID>.[mr.black@disroot.org].Bl' extension to files. It then drops the ransom message 'info.txt' which contains some text intended for victims to read.
The criminals demand a ransom payment, just like other ransomware operators. According to their note, victims will only be able to restore their data by paying for the specialized decryptor of the criminals. The sum they are asking for is not specified, but they do say that Bitcoin is the only payment option they accept. You should not agree to trust the criminals responsible for the loss of your files. Paying them is not a guarantee that you will be able to use your files again – they may ask for a second payment. Instead, you should take matters into your hands and run an antivirus tool to eliminate the Bl Ransomware. Then, try out alternative data recovery options.
