ArchievesOriginal Mac Adware

ArchievesOriginal is the name of a clone belonging to the AdLoad adware family. AdLoad is the name given to a large family of adware clones, all having different names but the same functionality - delivering ads inside your browser of choice.

ArchievesOriginal has a simple icon that helps it blend in better with your other applications. The nonsensical name is the result of how AdLoad clones get their names - the adware authors always choose two words at random and smash them together. Sometimes this produces hilarious results such as "AllocateClassics" or "LinearRadial".

The issue with adware of any kind, whether it's ArchievesOriginal or some other ad-supported app, is that a lot of the ads displayed by this type of application may be sourced using rogue ad networks. This means that the ads may link to questionable content, misleading websites, phishing pages or potentially unwanted apps.

The potentially harmful ads displayed by adware apps such as ArchievesOriginal are the main reason why you don't want to have any adware app installed on your Mac.

Removing ArchievesOriginal from your system is relatively simple. Just drag and drop it onto your Trash and then empty the Trash.
