Beware of the 'Netflix - We've Suspended Your Membership' Scam
This new scam aims to acquire Netflix user's log-in credentials through a malicious email. The subject of the email reads "Last Reminder" (even though this may vary). It claims that the payment for the next billing cycle could not be authorized, resulting in the suspension of membership. Furthermore, it states that if the user updates their payment information, they will be able to resume using Netflix until it expires.
However, these claims are false, and this email is not associated with Netflix in any way. The link provided in the letter leads to a phishing page disguised as the Netflix website. This means that anyone who enters their credentials into this fake site will have them exposed to scammers behind this scam campaign.
It's important to be vigilant when it comes to emails claiming that there is an issue with your subscription or account information. Do not click on any links and if you're unsure, always visit the official website directly. If you have fallen victim to this scam, we advise you to change your password immediately and contact Netflix support for further assistance.
