How to Uninstall GoToMeeting

With the arrival of the global Covid-19 pandemic, the use of conferencing applications such as GoToMeeting has gone through the roof. With millions of people working from home and still needing to interact with their teams and management on a daily basis, it's no wonder that the demand for video conference calls, sharing screens and files has suddenly gone in much higher demand that before.

GoToMeeting uses a web-hosted approach and offers its users screensharing capabilities and video conference calls. If you are thinking about switching to another similar application or if your management has decided to make that switch on the top level, this article will give you a few quick steps you can follow to uninstall GoToMeeting.

If you are uninstalling GoToMeeting from a Windows 10 PC, do the following:

  1. Open your start menu and navigate to the Control Panel.
  2. In the control panel window, click on “Programs and Features”.
  3. In the list of installed programs, right click on GoToMeeting and select “Uninstall”.
  4. Follow the onscreen prompts of the uninstaller.

You will need to repeat the above steps for the entry called "GoTo Opener". Finally, navigate to C:\Users\[account name]\AppData\Local\ and delete the GoToMeeting folder in there.

If you are uninstalling GoToMeeting from a Mac computer, do the following:

  1. Close GoToMeeting.
  2. Navigate to your Applications folder by using the dock shortcut or Finder.
  3. Drag and drop the GoToMeeting application icon onto your Trash.
  4. Access your Library folder, then navigate to Application Support > LogMeInInc and delete the GoToMeeting folder in there.
  5. Empty your Trash.

Following those steps will ensure that GoToMeeting and all associated leftover files from your computer, on both MacOS and Windows.
