How to Reset Your Lost Password on livejournal.com?
You can reset your livejournal.com user credentials, including your username and password at the Lost Information page.
Your username and password email service are entirely system-controlled, so LiveJournal staff and volunteers cannot reset your password for you. Neither can they alter your email address, or delete your account. It's vital to keep an up-to-date email address on your account so you can receive these emails when you need them. You might also wish to set up a secret question for extra security.
I lost my username
No problem. Go to the Lost Information page and select the "Lost your username?" option. Then type in the email address currently linked to your LiveJournal account. If you don't have access to the email address you most recently used with your livejournal.com account, you will not be able to reset your username. There's some hope though. You could use LiveJournal's search options to find your account.
However, if you can't locate your username using any of the above methods, you will have to create a new account if you do wish to use LiveJournal in the future.
How to reset your password via email
You will need access to the email address that was most recently used with the livejournal.com account, or at least a previously valid email address that was used with your account in the last six months.
Back at the Lost Information page, select the "Lost your password?" option and type in your username, and the email address to which you want the password reset email to be sent.
LiveJournal will send an email titled "Lost Password" to that email address as long as that email address is still associated with your LiveJournal account. If you didn't enter an email address, LiveJournal will send the email to the last currently registered address. Open the email and follow the instructions to reset your password.
