How to Avoid Ylcufr.com Ads
Ylcufr dot com is a low-effort misleading website that exists with a single purpose - to shove ads in the browsers of people who visit it.
The page has no content on it, save for an image styled to look like a streaming video player. There is no video on Ylcufr dot com, even if the page attempts to persuade you otherwise.
The fake video player is accompanied by text that says "Press allow to watch the video". This is intended to make visitors click the "allow" button in the "allow notifications" browser pop-up.
Doing this will not show you any video, it will just give Ylcufr dot com permission to flood your browser with intrusive and potentially harmful ads. A lot of the time, similar misleading websites will partner up with rogue ad networks. This means that the ads displayed and sourced through such networks may link to all sorts of problematic locations. Those locations include other misleading websites, untrustworthy pages, scams or phishing portals as well as potentially unwanted programs.
If you make it a rule of thumb to never click on any links or buttons on unfamiliar websites, especially when they lock their supposed content behind such clicks. When an unfamiliar page asks you to click "allow" anywhere on it, just close your browser tab and move on.
