How to Recover Your LinkedIn Account if you Forgot Your Password

1. Access the LinkedIn website, then select the "Forgot Password" link located beside the "Sign In" button.
2. Enter the email or phone number you used to register your LinkedIn account.
3. LinkedIn will then send an email message to you with a link you can use to reset your password. If you opted to perform the operation via phone number, you should receive an SMS message with a PIN that you'll have to enter before you can reset your password on the next page.
4. In the email you received, click on the link. In case the link doesn't open properly, copy the direct URL and paste it into your browser.
5. The link you just clicked should load a new page in your browser. On this page, you will be able to compose a new password for your LinkedIn account. After inputting this new password, select "Submit" to complete the process.
6. BONUS TIP - (optional): If you ever change your password based on suspicions that your account may have been compromised, don't forget to click the "Require all devices to sign in with new password" box located under the password fields. This function will sign you out of all LinkedIn sessions on any devices and requires you to input your new password in order to sign back in.
