Can't Start Microsoft Solitaire Collection
Windows versions have always come packed with a small set of games focused on card games primarily. Windows 10 boasts the Microsoft Solitaire collection, which is a modernized version of pretty much all Windows card games that we had access to over the past two decades. However, what happens if you try to play some solitaire and you can't start the Microsoft Solitaire Collection? While this is not a critical issue, certainly, it can still be tedious – it might also mean that there is a problem with your Windows files, and other Windows features or utilities may end up malfunctioning as well.
If you can't start the Microsoft Solitaire Collection, then we advise you to try out these troubleshooting tips, which might help you find a fix:
Use the Windows Store Applications Troubleshooter
Windows users have a wide range of troubleshooters built into the operating system. To access them, open Start Menu -> Windows Settings and then search for Troubleshoot. Once the troubleshooter menu is open, select the Run the troubleshooter button next to Windows Store Apps. The process should take less than 5 minutes – simply follow the instructions on your screen.
Reset the Application
If the troubleshooter does not help, then you may need to reset the application settings. Go to Start Menu -> Microsoft Solitaire Collection and right-click its icon. Select App Settings -> Reset.
Reset the Microsoft Store Cache
A common way to troubleshoot Microsoft Solitaire Collection and other applications fetched from the Microsoft Store is to reset the latter's cache. Press the Windows Button + R and enter WSReset.exe.
Reinstall the Microsoft Solitaire Collection
Reinstalling the application is the last thing to try. Start by going to Start Menu -> PowerShell. Once the console is open, enter the command Get-AppxPackage *solitairecollection* | Remove-AppxPackage
