What is Chromnius Browser?
Chromnius is the name of a browser that may be installed on your system through bundle installers.
The obvious association sought by the name used by Chromnius is with the Chromium-based family of browsers. What you are getting, in reality, is a little different.
Like most aggressively promoted browsers, Chromnius might end up installing itself as your new default browser. There are a few reasons why you probably wouldn't want that.
The Chromnius privacy policy has a few bits in particular that might interest you, namely: "We automatically collect information from your computer and/or device when you use the Dragon Boss Solutions. This information may include your IP address, your browser type and language and other browserrelated information, a time-stamp, the keyword query, search query text, search results clicked, pages viewed, search history, the content of any of our undeleted cookies, including a unique identifier (see section D on "Cookies" below), software installed upon and/or devices connected to your computer and/or device, and the referring website address."
For a browser that advertises security and privacy as its main features, this seems like an awful lot of information that can be collected and that the user consents to. In a world where regular Chrome and ad-blocking extensions recognized and used by millions exist, it's not too clear why anyone would want to opt for an information-hungry alternative, especially one that can be encountered in bundle installers - the medium most often associated with potentially unwanted programs.
