How to Stop Vipcaptcha.live Ads

popups adware

Vipcaptcha dot live is a simple misleading website. The page is set up with a fake anti-bot check on it, intended to lure users into accepting ads from the misleading site.

A lot of similar misleading domains run the same scam and new versions of it spring up every day. The idea is to fool the visitor that they are passing an anti-robot check. In reality, by clicking the "allow" button as the page urges, the user is accepting push notifications from the misleading page.

Untrustworthy sites like this one will often partner with rogue ad networks and deliver their ad content. This means the ads that you will be accepting in your browser may link to all sorts of unsafe online locations. Those include other misleading websites, scam or phishing pages, questionable adult content and potentially unwanted program installers.

You should follow a very simple and basic rule of thumb - if an unfamiliar website asks you to click "allow" anywhere on it as soon as it loads up and the page you are looking at has no meaningful content on it, simply close the browser tab and know that you've dodged a source of annoying and potentially harmful ads.
