VantageReservation Adware
VantageReservation is a piece of adware that can affect Mac computers. It belongs to the broader family of AdLoad adware that can affect Mac computers.
VantageReservation is an ad-supported app that will show up in your Applications folder. It has a generic icon and generic name, made up of two randomly chosen words that usually make no sense together. There are dozens of variants of the same adware, distributed under different names chosen at random. Variants are named by stringing two words, usually nouns, together.
The sole purpose of adware is to deliver ads to your system, as the name implies. However, there are two big issues with this sort of behavior. Those ads will slow down your connection and waste bandwidth. On the other hand, a lot of the ads shown through similar ad-supported apps originate from rogue ad networks.
Those rogue ads can serve ads that refer you to malicious or misleading websites, questionable content and potentially unwanted apps. This is why it's always a good idea to keep your Mac clean of any adware apps.
Thankfully, in most cases, removing Mac adware is very simple. All you need to do is drag the adware application, whether it's VantageReservation or one of its dozens of clones, onto the Trash, then empty your Trash.
