Remove Ujtg Ransomware

Ujtg Ransomware is a new and dangerous variation of the infamous STOP/Djvu file-encryption Trojan. Unfortunately, users who encounter the Ujtg Ransomware are likely to be in a lot of trouble, because there is no free decryption tool they can use to recover their data. This threat is designed to encrypt files on the victim's machine, rendering their contents inaccessible. The attackers deliver a ransom message, which assures victims that their files can be restored – but only if they agree to pay some Bitcoin to the criminals behind the Ujtg Ransomware. Allegedly, Ujtg Ransomware's creators demand to receive at least $490, and they state that this price is only valid for 72 hours – it will be doubled after this.

The Ujtg Ransomware attack encrypts a wide range of file formats – documents, images, presentations, databases, and archives are just some of the major file types it targets. Once it locks a file, the malware adds the '.ujtg' extension to its name. Another change it makes is to delete Shadow Volume Copies, and disable the System Restore Service. Last but not least, it makes sure to provide the victim with instructions via the file '_readme.txt.'

This document mentions the ransom fee we told you above, and it also instructs victims to message either manager@mailtemp.ch or helprestoremanager@airmail.cc for more information. The criminals promise to help each victim unlock one small file for free – this is a common trick to gain the trust of the victim.

You should not believe the operators of the Ujtg Ransomware – paying them does not guarantee a positive outcome. Our advice is to run an anti-malware tool to eliminate the Ujtg Ransomware from your system. Once you take care of this task, you can proceed to restore your files from a backup, or to explore alternative data recovery software and options.
