Tuis is the name of yet another ransomware clone that belongs to the Djvu family of variants. The new strain was discovered in late October 2022.
The Tuis ransomware encrypts almost every file on the victim's system, leaving it scrambled. Affected file types will include media, document, archive and executbale files.
Once encrypted, files receive the ".tuis" extension. This will turn a file named "document.doc" into "document.doc.tuis".
The ransom note is dropped inside a file called "_readme.txt" and goes as follows:
