The Qqlo ransomware is a newly discovered ransomware variant that belongs to the massive family of ransomware clones based on the Djvu ransomware.
The new strain will encrypt practically every file on a victim's system, including media, document and archive file types, as well as database files. The encrypted files receive the ".qqlo" extension. This means that a file that was formerly called "document.txt" will turn into "document.txt.qqlo".
The ransom demands are deposited inside a plain text file called "_readme.txt". The template used for the ransom note and monetary demands is the same as with every recent clone of the Djvu ransomware.
