What is Page Styles Adware?

Page Styles is the name of a browser extension that functions as ad-supported software or adware.

Adware is a type of potentially unwanted software that will display unsolicited and potentially harmful ads on the affected system. In the case of Page Styles, the extension claims it can change the color style and theme of pages you browse. What it won't tell you is that it can also display ads in your browser.

Adware can deliver ads sourced from rogue ad networks and such ads may link to unsafe online locations such as scam or phishing pages, fake giveaways and surveys designed to harvest user information as well as other untrustworthy websites.

Page Styles is also not found on the official Chrome Web Store, which should serve as a further indication of the extension's nature.

If you find Page Styles among your browser's extensions, you should remove it to prevent any further exposure to potentially unsafe ads.
