What is OperationReview Mac Adware?
OperationReview is the name of yet another clone of the AdLoad adware family. AdLoad is the name given to a massive family of adware clones, all having different names but the same functionality - delivering ads in your browser.
OperationReview has a simple icon that helps it blend in with your other applications. The generic name is the result of how AdLoad clones get their names - the adware authors always choose two words at random and slap them together. Sometimes this produces hilarious results such as "TripleWhole" or "VantageReservation".
The big issue with adware of any kind, whether it's OperationReview or some other kind, is that a lot of the ads displayed by this type of ad-supported application may be sourced using rogue ad networks. This means that the ads may link to questionable content, misleading websites, phishing pages or potentially unwanted apps.
The potentially harmful ads displayed by adware apps such as OperationReview are the main reason why you don't want to keep any adware app installed on your Mac or PC.
Removing OperationReview from your system is relatively simple. Just drag and drop it onto your Trash and then empty the Trash.
