The Ofww ransomware is the newest member of the Djvu ransomware family.
This new Djvu strain behaves as expected. It will encrypt the target system leaving files unopenable. Encrypted files receive the ".ofww" extension, which also serves as the name of the ransomware. This will turn a file from "document.txt" into "document.txt.ofww" upon encryption.
Encrypted file extensions include documents, archive files, media files and databases.
Once the ransomware finishes encrypting files, it deposits its ransom demands inside a plain text file named "_readme.txt". The note follows the established Djvu template and goes as follows:
