Oxva Ransomware Joins Djvu Family
Oxva ransomware is the name of a newly discovered ransomware strain that belongs to the Djvu family of clones.
Oxva does absolutely nothing different compared to the dozens and dozens of recent Djvu clones. It will encrypt the victim system, leaving most files on it scrambled and unusable. Affected extensions include the usual - media, archive, database and document files.
Once encrypted, files receive the ".oxva" extension. This will effectively make a file originally called "ledger.pdf" turn into "ledger.pdf.oxva".
